Playing at parties beats regular gigs. Simple science. This is especially true when said party is a halloween dress up party with Astral Travel, Taco Leg and Wind Waker playing. I was gonna wear a costume but I didn't have time/cbf'ed to make one so I made the joke that I would've gone as Nikola Tesla but I couldn't get funding for my costume. Nobody got it, bad joke. AT went as The Ferals, pre-FeralTV. I had suggested WW go as the Triforce's, wish we had. We were gonna play outside but realised it would be better to play in the lounge room near the hellish black cave tunnel of death/hallway to front door (this party had it all, strange decorations, poison green punch and 3 different versions of the monster mash). Wind Waker played and I can't be bothered to even try talking up my own band so I won't. Astral Travel played/slayed a radical set, first semi public appearance for them in a while/waaaay too long, full of new rippin' tunes about brickin' people on fixies. Amber's request for a circle pit/circle leg was met and it was brutal. Taco Leg set up for the slaughter and played one of their best shows, the pit got so XXXBRUTAL that I spent it holding Clancey's amp from getting smashed into the fireplace. That pretty much sums it up.
Radical party = Epic win.
