Craig McElhinney @ The Bakery 09/11/2013

Craig McElhinney live at The Bakery for a Wam showcase or something.
Craig failed to win the experimental award he was nominated for.
My condolences on this heavy occasion, friend.

The Wamis aren't tru and Craig's car got nicked from the Bakery
after the show, all of Craig's gear was lost in this wami shitfire.

320 blaze it

Craig's new LP just came out, its great and it looks like this:

Smrts @ The Bakery 09/11/2013

A Very Heartless Xmas

Although mostly unrecognised by any Westralian, Australian or international media, Heartless Robot have been quietly releasing some of the best music Perth has had to offer over the past 3 or 4 years, making themselves by default Westralia's best label. They've had an especially good run this year with Smrts' "Have Friends And Visit Them At Night" (Tristan Fidler's choice for album of the year and mine too),  Drowning Horses' double LP!!!!!, Decibel's "Stasis Ecstatic" LP, the Bamodi/Mekare-Kare split 7" and plenty more. Now it's time for the 2nd or 3rd (who can remember back that far) annual Heartless Robot Xmas Show! For 15 bucks on the door or less preorded, you get like 8 bands.

Don't be a dick.

Bamodi @ The Bakery 07/10/2012

"Perth experimental Punk overlords" Bamodi at The Bakery launching their LP Smell Heaven, the split  7" with Mekare-Kare and the related tour. 7th of October 2012. No punishers, no bad bands and a good crowd make for happy days. I was busy/loose and didn't record anything other than MK, sorry. Everyone cut sick and it was Lewis Water's 2nd last Mental Powers show, sad cunt.

Mekare-Kare @ The Bakery 07/10/2012

Furious Japanese Heroes Mekare-Kare finally returned to us just as they promised, it was sick. One of the best bands I've ever seen. They were amazing the last time they came too.

Bamodi @ The Bakery 25-01-2011

Bamodi's fifth gig since reform opening for Wire at The Bakery 25th January 2011. Probably the longest Bamodi gig EVER.

Enjoy.

The Tigers @ The Bakery 25-01-2011

Wire @ The Bakery 25-01-2010

Punk ledges Wire playing at The Bakery 25th January 2010 on their 2011 Australian tour. I heard mixed reviews before and after this show, mostly concerning the lack of classic Wire material played. Fuck 'em, I had a great time and I was so fucking tired I could barely stand. The double encore thing was weird though.

Enjoy.

Damo Suzuki & The Tigers @ The Bakery 12-11-2010

Chris Hudson and Damo Suzuki

Damo Suzuki & The Tigers at The Bakery 12th November 2010. I'm not sure what to say about this except that meeting Damo was one the most surreal moments of my life. What a dude. They did 2 sets but I missed the start because I was wasted.

GIG OF THE YEAR.

Enjoy.

Water Temple @ The Bakery 15-05-2011

Water Temple's third show at The Bakery 15th May 2011. Hear that floor tom roar/womble. Clearly Perth's best and most attractive tech-thrash/death influenced band.

"Can I just put my ipod behind here?"

Get it HERE.

Enjoy.

Craig McElhinney and Chris Cobilis @ The Bakery 02-10-2010.

Freewheelin' folk duo/Noisy friends Craig McElhinney and Chris Cobilis playing at The Bakery October 2010. Chris on Craig:

"It seems like he's reaching into the cosmos and drawing in sounds. Whether that comes from some kind of bongmania or something, I'm not sure, but I like the fact that he can get on stage and make something out of nothing," Cobilis says. "It's like mongrel spiritualism."

Enjoy.

Wind Waker @ The Bakery 02-10-2010.

Groovy defunct perth band Wind Waker playing at The Bakery 02-10-2010. This show is memorable for my strap break in the second last song and the death threats made to one band member for saying they wouldn't do the gig. Not the best Wind Waker set.

Get it HERE.

Enjoy.

p.s. Thanks to Chris Hudson for lending me his strap.

Astral Travel @ The Bakery 02-10-2010.

Astral Travel playing at The Bakery 2nd of October 2010.
Here's a photo of Levi straight from the social pages, lookin' good.
Look/Listen our for the new Astral Travel/Wind Waker Split LP.

"They're kind of a perfect band in that when you watch them you detect friendship, which is one of those things that's really important,".
