and a whole heap of weed.

The beautiful hand of CME, taken by the beautiful Onton.

Our friendly local polymath Lyndon Blue has just interviewed Perth's one and only wondermanchild/guitarwizard/me-m8 Craig McElhinney, ahead of the release of his 200 millionth album SORE LOSER and his temporary relocation to Melbourne.

READ IT HERE.

Here's a video Craig did with local filmmaker/coool d00d Ben Stewart, it's a beautiful tune.

Pink Reason @ Norfolk Basement 04-09-2009

Pink Reason playing their first show in Australia at the Norfolk Basement waaay back in 2009 on the 4th of September. I recorded this set for James V, there were some vague plans for a cassette release that never happened* so now I can finally upload it. The other bands on that night are here, here and here. It was the gig of the year, a night to preserve in the memory banks.

Get it HERE.

Enjoy.

p.s. There's a big section missing in the middle of the recording because of a battery problem, Deni's sax solo was lost.

Ladies and Gentleman

It brings me both great pleasure and pain to bring you what I believe is one of the worst album reviews I have ever read, The Dada Tapes review by Marie Dominique Dela Paz. If you pay attention to the varied and many underground music happenings around Perth you may recall the review "A Day of Psychedelia with Dada Records" a few weeks ago on the very same website chronicling the Dada Tapes launch party at Dada Records, which is a great and entirely grating piece of fluff writing by a uneducated retard who happens to "admin" the sound of the stage website, obviously Marie does not recall Zen Frost's review, nor does she live in Perth as she doesn't seem to know that DADA RECORDS happens to be a store.

I could write reams of pages on what is wrong with these two reviews but I can't be fucked, it's better you read it yourself. I guess it's still better than xpress, drum media, sixthousand, wire, faster louder and all the other shithouse music journalism in perth.

Also, I would like to impart a word of advice for any "music journalists/LOLsmiths" reading this, If you "sit down in front of your computer and listen to this record" you are doing it wrong.

EDIT: It appears that Sound of the Stage have pulled the review, for your convenience and lolz, I've posted it in the comments.
