Punk ledges Wire playing at The Bakery 25th January 2010 on their 2011 Australian tour. I heard mixed reviews before and after this show, mostly concerning the lack of classic Wire material played. Fuck 'em, I had a great time and I was so fucking tired I could barely stand. The double encore thing was weird though.

Wind Waker @ Manhattans 22-10-2010

Wind Waker's second last show at Manhattans 22nd October 2010, two weeks after the recording sessions for the aborted Astral Travel/Wind Waker LP and nine days before the final show at 208. I tried to pull us off this show since the difficult member disappeared a week beforehand and I didn't feel like doing a set of drum 'n' bass but apparently you can't pull out of shows if you're supporting important bands from melbourne. The five audience members might've been disappointed if we had.

I don't remember much of this gig because I was "claiming the drunkard throne" wasted, I do remember walking there and back with Ben Stewart who was also epic loose, getting in free after the bird hit capacity while dozens of people walked away unhappy and about a dozen people jumping the fence to get in.

Mink Mussel Creek Album launch @ Norfolk Basement 20-03-2011

Mink Mussel Creek launching their album "Mink Mussel Manticore" at their homeland the Norfolk Basement 20th March 2011 where it was also recorded. MMM was only sold at the launch in usb wristband form and is to be pressed as an LP sometime in the future. Mink went through a difficult and somewhat public experience a few years ago which effectively killed off the band as a regular force, read about it here. This show may be the last for a very long time, Nick and Joe are both rerooting in Berlin.

I missed most of the set because of some technical difficulties. What a fucking bummer.
